Example Market Val Hub: Chemical Inventory

STAKEHOLDERS

Categorise the people you think could be end users, customers, or other organisations that have an impact on your sector, like regulatory bodies or industry groups. Using a medical device as an example: Physiotherapy companies would be the customers, physio clients with injuries would be end-users, and Medsafe would be the regulator. Knowing what pains Physiotherapy companies and their clients have is crucial, but any solution you provide will have to meet stringent requirements from the regulator, so write up the impact those other parties have on your project here too.

As information comes in from your interviews, update your understanding of the stakeholder in these entries.

HYPOTHESES

Pick a pain you think one of your customer/end-user stakeholders has that's relevant to you're innovation area, write it down, and then go test it with user interviews! Was it correct? Record why or why not and continue to refine your hypothesis for both the pain you believe your stakeholders are feeling, and what kind of 'pain relief' they're seeking.
